Pharrell Williams new song, Happy, is one of the catchiest, toe-tapping songs I’ve heard in a long time. And it works, listen to that tune and you’ll feel happy.
So WWBT, NBC12 in Richmond, Va., created this video to celebrate the United Nation Foundation’s International Day of Happiness.
Brandon Seier, WWBT’s creative service director, says the station wanted to show their people in a way ‘that’s not an everyday occurrence’.
While the video looks as if it was improvised, Seier says it took a production meeting to map out the route, and to organize the staff. The song was played while shooting to put everyone in a dancing mood.
Seier says it was a great team building exercise and the station employees and viewers love it.
“How can you hate on Happy? asked Seier.
