This is one of those instances when just being nominated is an honor.
The PromaxBDA Local Awards finalists have been announced, and there are 150 nominations spread out across more than 40 award categories to be given out at the annual Station Summit conference next month in Las Vegas.
The PromaxBDA Local Awards finalists represent the best in local media, highlighting the creative marketing and design work being done across North America.
The PromaxBDA Station Summit is designed to focus on the issues, trends and emerging business opportunities driving success in local television. The annual event offers a meeting place for broadcast affiliates, studios and station groups featuring speakers, sessions and awards. The four-day event will include discussions covering topics most crucial to local networks, including sessions on the neuroscience of news marketing, promotions in this connected world, and seminars that focus on how to leverage localism in our global marketplace.
The nominations include local TV stations and ad agencies from across North America like Bell Media Agency, Toronto; Groupe TVA inc., Montreal; CBS2 KCAL9, Los Angeles; THIRTEEN, New York City; Tribune Creative West, Los Angeles; WGN-TV, Chicago; WGRZ, Buffalo; WRAL-TV, Raleigh, and WTNH, New Haven, to name a few.
