TVNewsCheck and Market Share sent you an invitation to participate in an on-line survey this morning. And look for that invitation to appear in your email a few more times in the coming days. We will start reporting the results at the PromaxBDA Station Summit in Las Vegas.
If you are the creative services director or assistant creative services director or promotion manager at a U.S. commercial TV station, you should have received an invitation via email to participate in this survey. If you have not received this email, please let me know ASAP by emailing or calling me, [email protected] or 817-578-6324.
We’ve had 55 respondents complete the survey within the first few hours and we encourage all of you to participate. I have seen some of the results and they’re fascinating.
Market Share is written mostly about the challenges local TV marketing departments’ face and how they respond creatively. The column is updated several times a day and I like to think it showcases and celebrates local television and its marketing. There are always video examples embedded in the articles.
The column is read by a wide range of television industry participants — from broadcast company CEOs to station general managers, news directors, creative services directors, writers, producers and editors.
I’ve written about everything from PROMAX winners to morning news promotion, from digital billboards to testimonials, about markets from Spokane to Orlando, from Philly to Chicago. I even wrote one about news promotion in Canada.
Click here for the Market Share link for columns starting with the most recent. And check in several times a day for relevant, engaging, informative, positive and entertaining news about local TV marketing.
And by all means, contact me if your station has a story to tell.
