It’s not often a local TV station proactively reaches out to viewers and asks them what they’re watching.
KCWI did in August. KCWI is the CW affiliate in Des Moines owned by Pappas.
Even rarer is for a TV station to change its programming line-up as a result of viewer feedback.
“The second promo we will start airing this week,” says Ted Stephens, KCWI’s general manager, “thanking the viewers for telling us what they’re watching and the changes we have made as a result of their feedback. Turning out to be a cool little campaign and still getting a lot of response from viewers.”
