Baseball has a sound and language all its own.
And winter-weary baseball fans in Philadelphia can hear its call all this week on WWSI, the Telemundo station owned by NBCUniversal licensed to Atlantic City and serving Philadelphia, as sports anchor Jamie Becerril provides coverage the 2016 Caribbean Series from the Dominican Republic.
The Caribbean Series (La Serie del Caribe) is hosting the 85th annual tournament featuring elite teams from Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Venezuela.
The tournament takes place all this week starting today. WWSI’s live reports air Monday through Friday at 6 and 11 p.m. Local viewers can watch the coverage on WWSI and baseball fans everywhere can watch a stream of the broadcasts on Telemundo62.com and on the Telemundo62 app.
