WFMY, Tegna’s CBS affiliate in the Winston-Salem, N.C., market, has hired Bob Kim as its marketing director. Kim will oversee the station’s marketing, branding, multiplatform growth and audience development, according to a statement for the station.
“More than anyone or anything else, Bob is all about the customer,” said Larry Audas, WFMY’s general manager.
“In our world, that’s the viewer, mobile consumer and social enthusiast. Bob will exercise both spirited devotion and strategic analysis to find, inform and serve Triad audiences. In short, Bob does data. He will make it his business to fully understand and respond to viewer preference and need,” Audas added.
Audas said Kim’s analytical skills and creative expertise will be cutting edge to changing media consumption trends.
Kim most recently was a senior manager for Accenture, serving as Southeast retail digital customer lead.
Previously, he was VP of marketing for Logan’s Roadhouse Restaurants, worked as an account director for Leo Burnett USA, and was a tenured marketing manager for McDonald’s Corp.
“Bob will bring new insight and fresh ideas,” said Audas.
