WSVN, Miami’s Fox affiliate owned by Sunbeam, won the Election Night coverage with the most viewers on air, online and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The station was the only one in the market to carry election coverage wall-to-wall from 7 Tuesday night until 3:30 Wednesday morning, and the first to announce the Trump victory, according to WSVN.
“7 News continues to be the station that viewers rely on for the most important stories affecting our community and our nation,” said Alice Jacobs, WSVN’s news and programming VP.
“Viewers expect the most extensive coverage from our experienced journalists as they turn to 7 News not just on the air, but on every platform.”
WSVN’s social media interaction on Facebook almost doubled its nearest competitor and on Twitter, its social interactions were almost five times as many as its nearest competitor, the station said.
