WTHR, the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis owned by Dispatch, led the market in total household viewership from the moment the polls closed at 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. with nearly 60% more homes in central Indiana joining WTHR than the next closest station, according to a statement from the station.
WTHR’s news app and website received 1.4 million page views on election night, including 219,000 unique visitors.
WTHR also offered real-time, interactive result maps on all its digital properties, including its website and mobile apps which was accessed 107,000 times.
The station also simulcast local election coverage on Facebook Live, reaching 1.3 million online viewers.
