Tonight at 7 on WBAL, Hearst’s NBC affiliate in Baltimore, the station will air a special titled, 11 TV Hill: State of Addiction, about Maryland’s heroin and opioid crisis.
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan will sit down to talk about why he declared a state of emergency on the opioid epidemic.
A phone line, staffed by experts on opioid addiction and recovery, will be open for calls from viewers with questions from 7-9PM that evening.
“WBAL-TV’s State of Addiction is a year-long multiplatform news and investigative series examining the opioid epidemic ravaging communities here in Maryland and across America,” said Dan Joerres, WBAL’s general manager.
“The series is providing reports and analysis focusing on origins of the opioid problem, treatment, government action, and people impacted in the communities served by WBAL-TV.”
