WBAL, Hearst’s NBC affiliate in Baltimore, was the top performer among adults 25-54 at 6 a.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. in the recently concluded May sweeps, according to the station.
“WBAL has had a string of major sweeps wins, and May 2017 is no exception,” said John Baldwin, WBAL’s creative service director.
“Great communication between news and promotion is key to delivering a consistent flow of targeted special report promotion, both in and out of sweeps.”
“Having Baltimore’s largest investigative team constantly working on delivering breaking news stories and in-depth investigations gives the creative services department plenty of fuel to turn out these spots,” said Baldwin.
“We also follow our on-air plan with promotion material for these reports that we place on our digital and social media platforms, making sure we reach viewers in and out of their home.”
