KXLF, the CBS affiliate in Butte, Mont., owned by Cordillera Communications, sent along a picture of its original building.
The station is responding to an article earlier this week about KWWL in Waterloo, Iowa, restoring its original building back to how it looked in 1916 when it was a car dealership.
According to Matt Reid, KXLF’s production director, this is a “photo of the KXLF studio located in Butte, Mont., founded Aug. 14 in 1953.” It is Montana’s oldest television station.
Reid also sent a more modern exterior picture of the building, which according to the station’s chief engineer, Mike Warner, was renovated sometime in the late 1960s, early ’70s.
