It’s a sophisticated operation targeting cars in tourists’ spots.
A car pulls up in broad daylight next to the targeted vehicle. A man jumps out, a tap on the window, and it shatters. They take all they can carry and jump back into the waiting car and disappear.
Police say street gangs are behind most of the break-ins.
NBC O&O KNTV placed hidden cameras inside a parked car and soon enough, some thieves took the bait and broke in.
