Mild weather during the winter and hot and humid in summer.
Louisiana is known as the sportsmen’s paradise with fishing, golf, boating, and sailing.
It’s the most European city in America with both French and Spanish influences.
It’s a highly competitive news market.
The average rent is around $1,100 and it’s among the least expensive cities of the major cities for housing costs.
The median home value in New Orleans is about $185,000.
Here’s what you need to bring to WDSU. The ability to write, shoot, edit and design promotion for all media platforms. You better be highly creative with a great attitude.

NOTE:Thirty years ago, a young family man from the Philly area accepted a job as a writer/producer in promotions at WDSU and moved his family to New Orleans.
He had little experience in the daily operation of local TV news and its marketing. But he fell in love with the station, the people and the city.
He discovered that people in Louisiana are among the friendliest in the country.
He learned so much at WDSU that to this day considers many of the people he worked with among his dearest friends.
You see, that guy is me.
So if you’re thinking about applying for this rare opening at WDSU, you should reach out to that guy who can speak volumes about why you should go for it.
