Ever since I’ve been going to the PromaxBDA Station Summit and before that the annual conferences held around the country, The State of Our Art has been the keynote seesions that kicks off the day of educational sessions for local TV creatives.
This year, the best work from all over the planet was shown to give attendees a glimpse of the great creative being done in other cultures.
This session began at 8 a.m., and it was great seeing so many attendees up so early to experience this great work. Before the session began, a four-piece group got the crowd going with a standup bass, sax, a tap dancer providing the percussion and a singer crooning away.
Hosted admirably by Vicky Free, SVP, marketing, Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution, and Scott Rowe, SVP, communications & domestic marketing, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing, there were plenty of examples to show that no matter the language, art speaks for itself.
By the way, this session was produced, curated and scripted by Stacy La Cotera, Sr. Vice President, Global Awards Development and Executive Producer of Conference Production & Experience.
