KPRC is celebrating diversity by featuring profiles of Hispanic citizens in Houston including some from the station. “What better time to celebrate not only the high profile, but the everyday citizens, neighbors and co-workers who inspire us?” said Jerry Martin, KPRC’s general manager
KPRC, the NBC affiliate in Houston owned by Graham Media, will spotlight members of the Houston Hispanic community in a month-long, on-air and digital diversity campaign.
Starting on Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, Hispanic Heritage Month will profile Hispanic leaders including Houston’s Police Chief Art Acevedo, Telemundo News Anchor Crystal Ayala and Artist/Muralist Gonzo247.

Also spotlighted will be the diversity of the KPRC family, both on-air and behind the scenes, hailing from Peru, Chile, Mexico and beyond.
“Our KPRC 2 family is as diverse as the communities that we cover and the city we call home,” said Jerry Martin, KPRC’s general manager.
“What better time to celebrate not only the high profile, but the everyday citizens, neighbors and co-workers who inspire us?”
