Sinclair called on Miami-based 2C Creative to produce broadcast and social trailers promoting its new streaming app, STIRR, a free, ad-supported streaming service that combines the best of local and national news, sports and entertainment.
Sinclair Broadcast Group launched Stirr last week, a free, ad-supported streaming service drawing on local news, sports and other programs from the 191 TV stations it owns in 89 U.S. markets.
And to Stirr up some buzz, Sinclair turned to the creative agency, 2C, to produce both broadcast and social trailers promoting the new streamer.
Stirr is launching with more than 20 live linear national networks, a new local channel called Stirr City, as well as a robust video-on-demand (VoD) library.
In developing the trailers, 2C’s goal was to capture the essence of the new service, building the kind of consumer awareness and excitement that would translate into downloads. The agency’s challenge was doing this in a creative way that didn’t rely on any actual programming footage.
The Stirr app is now available on iOS and Android devices, Amazon FireTV, Roku and Apple TV, and on the web at www.STIRR.com.
You can find the trailers on air across the Sinclair station group, as well as on its social media channels.
