8,000 people in need are warmer today thanks to WAVY’s 10 On Your Side Coats for Families campaign. This is the most to date in the station’s 20-plus years of hosting the campaign.
WAVY and WVBT, Nexstar’s NBC and Fox affiliates serving the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, collected, cleaned and donated more than 8,000 new or gently used coats to people in need as part of the stations’ annual 10 On Your Side Coats for Families campaign.
This is the most coats in the stations’ 20-plus years of hosting the campaign.
Every coat is cleaned by Albano’s Cleaners, and delivered to distribution partners by Harrison’s Moving & Storage and the Hiram Lodge.
