WCAU and WWSI (Telemundo62), owned by NBCUniversal, are hosting the The 2019 Democratic Debate for Philadelphia Mayor in partnership with The Philadelphia Inquirer and AARP Pennsylvania on Monday night at 7. The debate will take place at the Comcast Technology Center in front of an audience of invited guests.
Confirmed to participate are mayoral candidates former City Controller Alan Butkovitz, incumbent Mayor Jim Kenney, and state Senator Anthony H. Williams.

“We are committed to serving the community by providing a forum in which the candidates will discuss the issues most important to citizens residing in Philadelphia,” said Ric Harris, WCAU’s general manager.
The debate will be broadcast live on WCAU and in Spanish on TeleXitos, the station’s multicast network. The program will also be livestreamed on NBC10.com, Telemundo62.com and the stations’ mobile apps.
“50+ Americans are the nation’s most powerful voting bloc and AARP members across the city of Philadelphia will be making their voices heard during this election season,” said Bill Johnston-Walsh, AARP Pennsylvania State Director.
“We encourage Philadelphians to learn where the candidates stand on issues that matter most to them.”
