The National Press Photographers Association honored Forrest Sanders, a multimedia journalist at WSMV, Meredith’s NBC affiliate in Nashville, with a Solo Video Journalist of the Year award this past weekend.

Forrest Sanders, a multimedia journalist at WSMV, Meredith’s NBC affiliate in Nashville, earned the National Press Photographers Association’s Video Journalist of the Year award this past weekend.
Multimedia journalists are all-in-one reporters producing their stories alone, from the initial idea to writing, shooting and editing.
Sanders has been with WSMV for 10 years and a multimedia journalist for 11 years.

“Forrest is a very talented photographer and an amazing storyteller. His stories capture the true emotion of what is happening,” said Mitch Jacob, WSMV’s news director.
The National Press Photographers Association is an advocate for the work of video journalists. The organization works as resource for news photographers, videographers and multimedia journalists.
