When you see Seattle spread out on a map, you’ll notice that it’s bordered on one side by water, and on the other by mountains.
Two hours to the north is Vancouver, while Portland, Ore., is two hours to the south. Seattle sits on Puget Sound, surrounded by water, mountains and evergreen forests, with thousands of acres of parkland.
Experience the incredible beauty of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, all while working within the exciting atmosphere of a winning station.
The natural beauty of Seattle is one of the biggest draws for residents. Seattle gets less rain annually than Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Miami and many other major metro areas.
For many, living in Seattle has as much to do with what’s outside the city proper as what’s inside. Less than an hour from downtown, residents escape for the day or weekend to wineries, ski resorts, hiking trails and sprawling parks.
Seattleites bring that love of nature into the city proper as much as possible, enjoying Seattle’s parks and tree-lined streets while staying cozy in fleece jackets (practically the local uniform). The scenery and proximity to nature, perhaps, contribute to Seattle’s inherent attitude: one of calm and patience. U.S. News & World Report ranks Seattle as the 9th Best Place to Live in the country.
The scenery and proximity to nature, perhaps, contribute to Seattle’s inherent attitude: one of calm and patience. Locals are mocked for always allowing others to merge on the freeway, but that attitude extends to everyday life, where coffee shops harbor intellectual discussions, and nightlife is more about chilling with a beer at the bar than wild nights on the dance floor.

Here’s some background about Hiring America from Bill Deutch, the CEO.
Nearly 10 years ago, I had an idea to launch a new show — a program in a narrow niche. And — more challenging yet — rely on syndication to get it on air.
More than 130 shows later over the past 6 years — nearly 200 stations in our network and 1.5 million viewers weekly — Hiring America has succeeded in the challenging arena of broadcast syndication. We are the only program dedicated to and reaching military veterans, their families, friends — their entire ecosystems.
We also are the only program of its kind aired on the American Forces Network reaching all of our service members stationed overseas. It’s seen weekly at every base, every installation, every ship at sea by our service men and women in 175 countries and territories.
Hiring America offers vital and engaging content that helps these folks prepare for and find good jobs; get ready for the transition from military to civilian life — and look to a bright future.
The proverbial proof is in the pudding for the show’s success. Our sponsors have included a multitude of iconic companies and brands: The Home Depot, Clorox, USAA, Lenovo, Hilton Hotels, Wells Fargo, just to name a few.
In addition to the feeling you get creating content that helps military vets transition to military life, the right candidate will be able to live anywhere they want within close proximity to a major airport. That is a major benefit. Work from home. Think how happy that makes the wife and kids. No moving, no new house to buy, no new schools to get used to. Yeah.
