The cure? Watch the Super Bowl on KTVU.
That’s the premise behind some promo spots from KTVU, the Fox O&O in San Francisco.
Shares of viewers for stations that air the Super Bowl when the home town team plays can go beyond 70%.
The station is sending six staffers to cover the game and has several special live shows from Miami on Saturday night, Sunday morning leading into Fox coverage and after the game.

WISC, Morgan Murphy’s CBS affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin (DMA 81) is looking for a sports director to lead its team in one of America’s greatest college sports towns. Don’t take my word for it — ask Sports Illustrated. This is a rare opportunity at a quality station in a great sports town. WISC is looking for someone to break the mold and connect with local sports audiences in a new way. If you’re expecting to cut highlights and anchor a traditional local sportscast, this is not the job for you. We prioritize perspective, analysis, and emotion for our viewers who are deeply interested in local, college and professional sports. A big part of the job will be developing and executing a digital sports strategy to build on our award-winning digital platforms.
