Lilly Broadcasting has promoted veteran broadcaster Brian Trauring to executive vice president, effective immediately. Trauring has been vice president of news, marketing and content development.
Trauring will focus on news and marketing with added responsibilities to oversee strategic planning, recruiting and retention, quality control, digital platforms and enhanced synergies between the company’s television and radio stations.
Trauring was news director of WTVG Toledo, Ohio, for 16 years before rejoining Lilly Broadcasting in June of 2018. Trauring also served as VP of news for Lilly when the company owned WTVG.
Lilly Broadcasting operates affiliates of NBC, CBS, ABC, The CW and MeTV in New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands.
Lilly Broadcasting also owns radio stations in Warren and Erie, Pa., and operates cable network One Caribbean Television.
Erie News Now seeks a full-time television multimedia journalist to investigate and report enterprise stories about people helping those who are economically disadvantaged. You will highlight solutions and creative ideas making a difference. This is a special opportunity for storytelling focused on people helping others and not a general assignment position. Former or current print/digital reporters willing to learn how to shoot and edit video and deliver stories on camera for broadcast will be given consideration. Candidates with broadcast reporting experience are also encouraged to apply.
