All Meredith news stations are providing viewers with local coronavirus updates every hour via mobile news apps and social channels.
While all 17 stations in Meredith’s markets, including Atlanta, Phoenix, Nashville and St. Louis, remain open and operational, it says that if one or more were forced to temporarily close, Meredith has developed a plan to keep all markets on the air and online via its hubs in Phoenix and Atlanta.
Each station has been practicing contingency plans, including producing news broadcasts from alternate locations.

Certain stations are also adding special newscasts in some cases to fill slots previously held by network programming that has been cancelled.
WFSB, Meredith’s CBS affiliate in Hartford, Conn., aired a three-hour special broadcast last night from 8 to 11 p.m.
“Our news stations are a part of the communities they serve, and right now it’s important that we support those communities,” said Gary Brown, Meredith’s SVP of content.
WKRN, Nexstar’s ABC affiliate in Nashville, Tennessee (DMA 28) needs a local sales manager. The sales manager is responsible for leading the day to day operations of the sales department, including development of new business and achievement of revenue goals across broadcast and digital platforms.
