New jobs posted to TVNewsCheck’s Media Job Center include openings for a general manager in New York state to manage multiple stations across two adjacent markets, and another is needed to oversee a station on the West Coast for a large broadcast company.
WIVT and WBGH, Nexstar’s ABC and NBC affiliates in Binghamton, N.Y. (DMA 161), and WETM, Nexstar’s NBC affiliate in Elmira/Corning, N.Y. (DMA 178), need a general manager to oversee all the stations, about 50 miles apart in the ‘Southern Tier’ of New York State.
The successful candidate will previous GM experience with a successful track record in leading sales driven organizations and developing revenue across multiple platforms, as well as providing leadership by developing department heads and promoting teamwork within all station departments.
