This year, there are significantly more needs in the Waco, Texas, community due to the pandemic, yet donations have been drastically reduced. That’s why today, KXXV is partnering with food pantries across Central Texas and the Brazos Valley to Feed the Need.
KXXV, Scripps’ ABC affiliate in Waco, Texas (DMA 82), has hosted summer food drives for children in the area who can no longer receive school meals for years.
This year, there are significantly more needs in the community and donations have drastically reduced due to the length of the pandemic.
That’s why today, KXXV is partnering with food pantries across Central Texas and the Brazos Valley to Feed the Need.
The Feed the Need one-day summer drive will begin in the Good Morning Texas newscast and continue until the 10 p.m. newscast.
“The mission of KXXV and KRHD is to make a difference in the communities we serve,” said Adam Chase, KXXV’s general manager.
“This is why we are matching the first $12,000 raised today. Our hope is that during this pandemic, our community can rest assured that there will be food on their tables.”
WVTM, Hearst’s NBS affiliate in Birmingham, Alabama (DMA 44) is seeking a dynamic Local Sales Manager who is ready to take a growing station to the next level. Individual should be highly organized, able to coach a winning team and have experience in pricing and inventory management.
