Producer-Writer-Editor Opening In Creative Services

New jobs posted to TVNewsCheck’s Media Job Center include an opening in creative services for a producer-writer-editor at a Cox’s Boston Fox affiliate, WFXT.

by Paul Greeley July 27, 2020 11:09 EDT

WFXT, Cox’s Fox affiliate serving Boston (DMA 9), is looking for a producer-writer-editor to join its creative services team in Dedham, Mass. This position reports to the creative manager and is responsible for end-to-end full production and the development of video content for new or existing advertising campaigns.

Projects include, but are not limited to creation of brand messaging, short and long-form commercials, web video vignettes, and more. This position is responsible for the entire process of creating videos – from developing the concept to creative writing to editing the final product.

Keep in mind that while WFXT is Boston’s Fox affiliate, the station itself is located in Dedham, about 20 miles from downtown Boston. So if the thought of living in a big city like Boston intimidates you, you can live and work in a historic suburb with 14 parks, excellent shopping and dining while Boston proper is still just a quick train ride away. Boston Magazine named Dedham as one of the best places to live south of Boston. In Dedham there are a lot of restaurants, coffee shops and parks. The public schools there are above average.

If you’re a city dweller and like the fast-paced vibe of a major, historical city, Boston proper is just a quick train ride from Dedham. Boston covers nearly 90 square miles (harbor included), but the wider Boston region contains dozens and dozens of other towns and communities.

Boston is the Red Sox, the Bruins and Harvard, one of the area’s many colleges and universities, and Boston Harbor. Tons of places to eat and explore.
