WPLG, Berkshire Hathaway’s ABC affiliate in Miami, had the top-rated English-language newscasts during the November 2020 sweeps in adults 25-54.
Some might say it was a record-breaking performance.

“As far back as our records show, we cannot find a sweep where WPLG has been No. 1 Monday through Friday including primetime average,” Bill McCord, WPLG’s creative services director, said.
“From political uncertainty, civil injustice and unrest, to a nation and a world held prisoner by a pandemic, we had positioned the station as a true beacon of reason in a sea of inaccuracies for a community that pleaded for honest information. Our commitment to owning the story, breaking news, community involvement, being South Florida’s weather authority and political station has been recognized by our viewers.”

NOTE: As you can imagine, I get a lot of press releases about ratings performance. And TVNewsCheck does print sweeps performance stories from newspapers and other media.
