KNXV in Phoenix, needed the talents of someone who has a powerful presence for its holiday message. So for its holiday promo, Pastor John makes a return.
KNXV, Scripps’ ABC affiliate in Phoenix, needed the talents of someone who has a powerful presence for its holiday message to viewers.
So the station called on Dr. John L. Paige Jr. of the Grace Temple Apostolic Church to deliver its message of hope and peace.
You might remember Pastor John from a July Market Share column, The New Us: Local TV Marketing In 2020, Part 4

Jim Hart, KNXV’s creative services director, said: “We had really nice feedback on our first spot and now the same for this one. What started out as a single spot is now more than a campaign, because we as marketers need to continue with positive messages to better connect with our community.”
Hart said the station wanted to create something different for its holiday greetings spot and who better to help than Dr. John.
“I think we need to be mindful of those who struggle this time of year and in general,” said Hart.
NOTE: I happened to notice this weather promo from KNXV while searching for the station’s YouTube channel and thought I’d share it.
The time-lapsed footage of clouds over the desert really makes helps this promo majestic. A Promax Gold winner.
