ABC Owned TV Stations will stream a town hall special, Hiring our Heroes: Career Fair, today at 1 p.m. PT.

Viewers can stream the town hall on the station group’s 32 connected TV Apps on Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Roku and across its eight websites.

Phillip Palmer

The hour-long special is hosted by Phillip Palmer, news anchor for KABC Los Angeles.

Palmer will speak to veteran affairs experts that will provide tips and resources to job seekers and address employment issues that impact veterans.

Expert panelists include the following:

Kevin Preston, Diversity & Inclusion / Disney Veterans Programs

Ron Green, United States Marine Corps (retired), Southwest Airlines

Laura Nugent, Operations and Logistics Manager, Disney Institute

Phil Martin, Talent Acquisition Manager for Enterprise Holdings

Abie Chong (USAF Veteran) Leading Diversity, Equity & Inclusion & U.S. Military Talent Recruitment for Hilton.

The town hall will also provide guidance on how veterans can prepare for the upcoming virtual Veterans Institute Summit.

The summit is virtual and is a complimentary event created by The Walt Disney Co.’s Heroes Work Here initiative that places a focus on hiring, training and supporting military veterans and military spouses.

Heroes Work Here has resulted in more than 10,000 veterans joining Disney since its launch in 2012.
