It could be Monaco, or the south of France. But it’s much better, closer and more affordable. In fact, it’s here in the U. S., and it’s ranked the second best place to retire, and the 18th best place to live according to U. S. World Report. Along Florida’s Suncoast, Sarasota is just 60 miles south of Tampa on the state’s west coast. Towns nearby include Siesta Key, Longboat Key, St. Armands Circle, Lido Beach, Venice Beach, Bradenton Beach and the beaches of Anna Maria Island. Warm temperatures year-round, award-winning beaches, great restaurants, plenty of shopping options and a thriving arts and cultural scene have made Sarasota a go-to place for retirees and families. Parks, golf courses, clear water, and white sand beaches, Sarasota has all the elements of paradise.
