“Iowa voters deserve to know how these candidates compare to each other,” says Allison Smith, KCCI’s news director. “KCCI is proud to join our partners in providing this crucial coverage for our state.”

“This primary election is already influencing the future of Iowa politics,” says Brian Sather, KCCI’s GM. “The courts have weighed in on who can appear on the ballot. Now it’s time for the voters to have their say. KCCI is proud to lead in equipping Iowans with knowledge ahead of this election.”

The candidates will face each other at KCCI’s studios in Des Moines. Candidates will be given one minute to answer questions and the opportunity to respond when mentioned by another candidate.

The debate will also be live-streamed on KCCI.com and will be available on the Very Local app available for download on Roku, Amazon Fire TV and other platforms, through the primary election on June 7.

NOTE:  KCCI is hosting a live debate between the three Republican candidates running for the U.S. Congress ahead of Iowa’s primary on June 7. The KCCI Commitment 2022: Iowa 3rd District GOP Primary Debate will air Saturday, May 14, at 7 p.m.
