Matthew Damore has been appointed creative services director at KRON, Nexstar’s MyNetworkTV affiliate in San Francisco.
In his new role, Damore will lead KRON4’s creative team and oversee brand development, sales initiatives and community engagement in the Bay Area for all KRON platforms including KRON4, kron4.com and the Bay Area’s 24/7 live news streaming app, KRONon.
“I’m thrilled to join a legacy brand at KRON4. The opportunities to work with the diverse team here and expand the KRON name, while building new community engagement is very exciting,” Damore said.
Damore led the creative department for KSEE and KGPE, the NBC-CBS duopoly in Fresno, Calif., and was instrumental in the relaunch and rebrand of the stations after Nexstar’s acquisitions were complete in 2013.
Regional and national companywide projects were produced from Fresno, including work on the California Recall Debate hosted by KRON in early 2019.

Damore is a veteran of the U.S. Army where his television career began in the Armed Forces Radio & Television Service.
