WLBT, Gray’s NBC affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi, has an opening for a general sales manager.

This opportunity doesn’t come along very often.

The top candidate will provide dynamic leadership and foster a winning culture to achieve budgets and grow revenue for local, regional, national and digital sales.

Jackson, the largest metro area in Mississippi, is leading the charge for the state’s arts, culinary and cultural progression, according to U. S. News & World Report. Jackson has maintained much of its distinct Southern charm, a characteristic that is drawing new chefs, artists and other movers and shakers to this region in droves. Jackson is very affordable. The median home sale price is significantly lower than the national median. Jackson’s recreational and entertainment options appeal to a variety of people. Country clubbers are at home in Jackson’s active social scene, and culture buffs will find plenty to do. Museums like the Mississippi Museum of Art and the Eudora Welty House are small but well-maintained. And downtown’s popular Fondren district is a vibrant collection of restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.

KAKE, the ABC affiliate in Wichita, Kansas, has openings for an assistant chief engineer, multimedia journalist and sales account executive.

Wichita is the largest city in Kansas, and boasts a wide array of diverse activities and a population equally broad in background and lifestyle. One benefit of living in Wichita is the cost of living, which is below the national median. Housing prices and rental rates are inexpensive compared to what you’d find in places on the East or West Coast.

Gray Television is launching a new national daily news magazine and we’re looking for talented journalists, specifically a producer and reporter, to join its team.

Both positions are remote.

This is a chance to join a team producing the next wave of syndicated programming for the company.

The daily show will include elements from InvestigateTV as well as original editorial content and stories culled from Gray stations.

This new M-F show will air on all 113 Gray television stations.

WVUE, Gray’s Fox affiliate in New Orleans, has an opening for weekend anchor/reporter. It is the No. 1 rated news station in the competitive New Orleans Market.

CLICK HERE for more specifics and how to apply.

New Orleans charms visitors and locals alike with its music scene, diverse cuisine and stubborn refusal to abandon its cultural traditions. But what is truly wonderful about the Big Easy lies at its heart, beyond the casual tourists swaying Mardi Gras beads and late-night strolls down Bourbon Street. Living in New Orleans isn’t quite like it is portrayed in television shows and movies. New Orleans residents generally don’t speak with Southern or Cajun accents, and Carnival parades are not exclusively debauched flesh-baring spectacles, but rather family-friendly community celebrations.
