Today, Feb. 9, Hearst’s WLWT celebrates its 75th anniversary by kicking off a year-long celebration of its legacy and service to the people of Greater Cincinnati.
WLWT first went on the air on Feb. 9, 1948, and throughout its 75-year history has always been an NBC affiliate.
In the coming weeks and months, viewers can expect to see special programming and stories on WLWT, WLWT.com, and Very Local from the station’s archives reviving many historic moments of the region’s history.
Programming will also showcase classic moments from WLWT’s legacy original programming including Ruth Lyons, Paul Dixon, Bob Braun and more.
