PBS station WETA Washington is seeking a skilled digital media producer, a natural storyteller at heart, to build affinity for our brand through exciting and engaging internal and external video productions.

WETA and NewsHour Productions are Washington’s established media and news organizations.

We are a largely local workforce based out of the Campbell Place office in Arlington, Va. WETA and NewsHour Productions value employee flexibility when possible.

In this role, you will be creating content showcasing the many facets of WETA in a variety of formats including video, photography and animation for communications ranging from company events and meetings, broadcast interstitials, digital recruiting tools or other social media videos.

A successful candidate will have experience switching live television, be it in a newscast or a master control setting.

Richmond sits on the James River, about 100 miles west of Virginia Beach and the Chesapeake, and just 70 miles east of Charlottesville.

The U. S. News & World Report says Richmond is the only region in America with whitewater rapids running through its downtown district. Downtown Richmond is anchored by Virginia Commonwealth University, which draws a large crowd of younger part-time residents. World-class museums, a vibrant food scene and a wide array of entertainment options from concerts and theater performances to family-friendly festivals can be found in Richmond. The Richmond metro area features more than 100 local parks and plenty of recreational activities. With a wide range of housing options, the Richmond metro area appeals to a varied demographic, from young families to retirees.

KCCI, the Hearst-owned CBS affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa, has an opening for a full-time maintenance technician.

The person in this role maintains the station’s equipment and systems from acquisition to distribution.

This position provides technical and IT support for all station efforts.

Des Moines is listed as the 14th best place to live according to U.S. News and World Report. Housing prices in Des Moines proper are well below the national median. Elegant Colonial and Tudor-style homes built in the early 1900s hide in quiet neighborhoods minutes from buzzy downtown, where lofts and condos draw the millennial crowd.  Many families with kids flock to the suburbs where new housing developments continually pop up. And there’s plenty to do and see in Des Moines. Cultural events and festivals draw all ages to the downtown area. One-of-a-kind shops, locally owned restaurants and hip bars enliven entertainment districts. And plenty of bike trails and parks (and even a few lakes) provide opportunities for outdoor recreation.
