WAVE in Louisville produced a documentary that took advantage of the hoopla surrounding the fictional movie, Cocaine Bear. In the incredible true story WAVE tells, the bear isn’t even the main character.
WAVE, Gray’s NBC affiliate in Louisville, has released a new 60-second news promo that reminds viewers that they are at the center of the station’s news coverage.
Today begins a new weekly feature on Market Share, Checking In, that surveys marketing and creative services directors to find out who they are, their challenges, their successes and their visions for the future.
“You want to do a quick turn of the spot because Derby’s only relevant on Derby day,” says Kris Baete, WAVE Louisville, Ky.’s marketing director. And finding the right music was key. “It spoke to me and I thought it was a fun edit because of that music.”
You could make the argument that this year, 2020, is not one to be remembered fondly. Yet for all the pain we’ve experienced in 2020, WAVE, Gray’s NBC affiliate in Louisville, found some positives in their year-ender to give us hope going into 2021.
