The new openings are in Seattle and for the Waypoint Media stations in Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and Indiana.
“The visual part of storytelling has long been a hallmark here at KCCI, and a recognizable part of what makes us ‘Iowa’s News Leader’,” said Donna Smith, KCCI chief photographer.
“Through outstanding content and a compelling marketing mix across the whole media ecosphere, the documentary has generated over 3.5 million views on broadcast and social, and the numbers are still growing,” said Scott Altus, KOMO’s creative services director.
A recent study shows South Carolina is one of the deadliest states for women – ranking 6th in the nation for women killed by men. “This issue has devastated so many South Carolina families,” said Bruce Barkley, WYFF’s news director. “We want to continue to tell the stories of these courageous survivors and work to find ways to stop the violence.”
Matthew Lebowitz, the station’s creative services director, sent me a note about what the station is doing to celebrate. “We wanted to celebrate the 70 year milestone, while keeping our eye on the future,” said Lebowitz.
Nebraska Broadcasters Association member radio and TV stations came together last Friday to hold flood relief drives that yielded $441,919 in donations to the American Red Cross. “This couldn’t have happened without the voluntary efforts of countless people from amongst our station membership,” said Jim Timm, NBA’s president.
The new openings are in Washington, DC, Rochester and Charlotte for a multimedia journalist and photojournalist, an assignment editor and director of sales.
The series examines Texas Railroad Commission Chairman, Christi Craddick, and the conflicts of interest related to her politically prominent family and her position as the state’s most powerful oil and gas regulator.

The statewide #NebraskaStrong Drive for Flood Relief involves NBA member radio and TV stations asking their audiences to donate to the American Red Cross to aid the ongoing recovery efforts.
