When we last heard from Dr. Nicole Cross, the morning news anchor for KNOE, the Gray-owned CBS affiliate in Monroe, she was drying off after falling overboard while covering a flood.
(Dr. Cross ran a successful psychotherapy practice providing mental health counseling before she was a journalist and anchor on the morning and noon news on KNOE.)
Today, Dr. Cross is announcing that she’s leaving KNOE for a new position with a station in Shreveport. I saw her announcement on Facebook and thought her classy good-bye deserved some notice.
Dr. Cross then sent me a notice about her good-bye party and how she wanted to leave the community with one final contribution, a school supply drive for local children in foster care.
Her announcement on Facebook generated more than 300 comments, most of the sentiments were like the ones here. Apparently, she’s made quite the impression there in Monroe.
I’m betting we’ll be hearing a lot more about Dr. Nicole Cross in the future.
