John Kukla knows how to get my attention. He wrote that line in an email he sent to me about a short video he wanted to share.
Kukla is the creative services director for KDFW, the Fox O&O in Dallas.
He says that at last week’s Lone Star Emmy Awards, “attendees were stunned to witness a blistering expose that rips the curtain behind the TV news promotion industry, daring to pull back the curtain on the never told secrets of successful local marketing, and the critical role played by our anchors and reporters.”
He apologized for getting carried away.
What attendees, and now you, are about to see is a funny, clever parody of local TV news promotion.
Usually fierce competitors, Kukla, and the promotion manager from the CBS affiliate KTVT Dallas, Tadd Van Cleve, with help from KTVT anchor Doug Dunbar and KFDW anchor Clarice Tinsley, created the video.
Enjoy.
