What’s a 1,000 pound mako shark eat?
Pretty much anything it wants.
Two divers filmed one of the largest mako sharks in the waters off California.
Footage of the shark, estimated to be about 1,000 pounds and more than 11 feet long, was captured by two divers who intentionally spent an hour in the water without a cage. Makos have been recorded moving at more than 50 knots.
“Every time she came by us,” said Robin Berg, one of the divers, “I had to catch my breath at how long she really is. A 1,000-pound mako will run anything down, they are unmatched in terms of speed and power.”
Tonight at 11 p.m. on Outdoor Channel’s Blue Water Savages, watch unprecedented footage of this monster mako.
