Since 2018, the Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation and NBC/Telemundo owned stations have presented a total of $14.3 million in Project Innovation grants to 389 nonprofits.
In 11 select markets, a total of $3.475 million in grants will be awarded to nonprofits that are helping to move their communities forward. “These organizations are vital to our communities and they need and deserve our support,” says Valari Staab, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations president.
Last year, WCAU and WWSI, the NBC and Telemundo affiliates in Philadelphia owned by NBC, awarded $225,000 in grants to local nonprofits as part of their Project Innovation initiative, which is beginning its third year.
