Waco certainly is a city with more than its fair share of tragedies.
In 1993, there was the Branch Davidian debacle in which 74 people died.
In 2009, an Army major murdered 13 people and injured another 30 inside Ft Hood.
A year ago, an explosion at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas, killed 15 and injured another 160.
And just as stations in the Waco market are preparing to commemorate that tragedy, another shooing kills four at Ft. Hood.
Here’s a spot from KCEN, the NBC affiliate in the Waco-Temple-Bryan market, that deals with the latest tragedy.
Next week, KCEN will air a commercial-free, hour-long special on the West fertilizer explosion.
(Click here to read how KWTX , the CBS affiliate, is using a 90-seond promo to promote its special.)
And here’s a recent news image spot from KCEN featuring its on-air talent. Thanks to Mike Stanford, KCEN’s director of marketing, for sharing.
