On May 1, I profiled The [206], a locally-produced sketch comedy show airing on KING, the NBC affiliate in Seattle, and showed how KWCH, the CBS affiliate in Wichita, was able to promote two stories on Facebook.
I thought you would like to see an actual sketch from The [206], so I got Chris Cashman, one of the hosts and producers, to send me one he liked.
“I will pass along a personal favorite that I produced. I produced this to make a comment on the new laws in Washington State that included a legalization of marijuana. At the time, the headlines were mostly focusing on how the police were concerned that they weren’t going to be able to do field sobriety tests because they didn’t currently have a way to tell if people were intoxicated on marijuana. That’s not exactly true.
“That’s actually the video we now play before every single taping to warm up the crowd and it’s become very popular. I’m the cop. They even requested I play it in our state capital for an event that included the governor.”
From KWCH, here are the two stories that were promoted by the Facebook videos.
First, the promo, then the story.
