While TV stations, and their owners, are loving the estimated $1.2 billion that political ads generated this election, viewers hate them.
I’m glad the elections are over just so I don’t have to endure the constant parade of negative political ads on TV, especially during the news. If only the politicians could spend all that TV money to actually fund something worthwhile.
Anyway, WHO, the Tribune-owned NBC affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa, decided to conduct its own “President of the Newsroom” election, complete with spoof ads for each candidate.
Voters can decide on the station’s Facebook page, with the results to be revealed tonight at 6.
Stay tuned here tomorrow (or sooner) to see which anchor got the coveted seat.
