Lots of TV stations say they work for you, the viewer. But not many actually come by and plow your driveway during a winter dominated by epic snowstorms.

Since Cox took over in October, WFXT has hired 17 new people, including anchors, producers and photographers, doubling its reporting staff, grabbing the top spot at 11 p.m. Monday to Friday for the first time during a major sweeps month, according to an article in the Boston Herald.

“It’s quite an achievement in the relatively short time since Cox Media Group took control of WFXT,” says Briggs.
“The investment into resources and people clearly is already paying off.”
And taking to the streets with shovels and plows to help residents clear driveways can’t hurt either.
