Like the swallows of Capistrano, they come every year, flocking to the desert heat of Las Vegas.
They’re looking for inspiration, direction, insight, and maybe a good time.
They’re TV station marketing types, vice presidents, managers, writers, producers, graphic artists, animators, preditors, etc., all hoping to leave with successful ideas, plans, techniques and strategies they can implement at their stations when they return.
And they rarely leave disappointed.
It’s time for the annual get-together for TV station managers and marketing executives again, the PromaxBDA Station Summit.
PromaxBDA is ready for you.
This year, the annual conference is again at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, June 23-26. It’s the fifth station summit. And this year is expected to be the largest gathering yet of the local broadcast marketing community. More than 1,200 are expected to gather.
“This year’s Station Summit will be an outstanding week of conversation and content within the local television industry and community,” said Steve Kazanjian, the new PromaxBDA president.
“The collaboration between program producers and marketers has only continued to grow with each new conference, and I look forward to seeing this year’s attendees engaged in vigorous conversations about creativity and innovation in this evolving business.”
Last year, TVNewsCheck’s Harry Jessell and yours truly were there and filed a dozen reports from the floors of the station summit.
Look for TVNewsCheck and Market Share to again provide comprehensive accounts of what’s happening inside the sessions and presentations, plus what people are really saying in the hallways and outside at the pool bar.
What’s new in 2015? An expanded full day of sessions on June 25 tailored exclusively for the local broadcast industry.
Jonathan Kite, star of Warner Bros. Television’s 2 Broke Girls, will host the 2015 PromaxBDA Local and Just Cause Awards on June 25.
From the networks, studios and station groups, a lineup of industry experts are expected to speak:
Michelle Garry (Fox Broadcasting Company)
Marshall Hites (Tribune Broadcasting)
Gloria Lee (ABC Television Network)
