A St. Louis hospital accused of selling new born babies.
This story began at Homer G. Phillips Hospital in 1965. That’s when renowned gospel singer Zella Jackson-Price was told her daughter died at birth.
We fast-forward to April 2015, when Price and her 50-year-old daughter jubilantly met for the first time, leaving both stunned and faced with unanswered questions.
More than 70 women have come forward saying their babies were taken from them at birth and then given away or sold.
Lawsuits have been filed and attorneys say the city, state and federal government are assisting in the case.
Locating the birth records from the hospital is a daunting task, since the hospital closed in 1979.
