WYFF, Hearst’s NBC affiliate in Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville, S.C., teamed up with the Red Cross of Upstate South Carolina to raise more than $700,000 in donations to help flood victims of the recent historic rains.
WYFF did live cut-ins throughout Wednesday and coverage during newscasts on the needs in the Columbia and Charleston areas.
“Once again, WYFF viewers showed their generosity and willingness to help the American Red Cross relief efforts,” said John Soapes, WTFF’s general manager.
“We truly want to thank everyone for their tremendous response to those in need here in South Carolina.”
