I think everyone would agree that moving is one of life’s most annoying activities.
But it’s one thing to move into a different office or even a different home, and quite another to move an entire television station into a new location.
Broadcasting can’t be interrupted. News coverage can’t be compromised. Satellite feeds must be recorded. Commercials must air. It must appear to be business as usual no matter what chaos is going on behind the scenes.
Yesterday, KETV, the Hearst-owned ABC affiliate in Omaha, Neb., moved into a new home, a 48,000 square foot, 100-year-old former train station.
The project took two years and the station has done a terrific job of creating interest in the renovation and detailing its progress all along.
In addition to the new look, the station will also debut a new set from Devlin Design Group.
