Must be nice.
I love it when TV stations expose public officials behaving questionably.
WWL, Tegna’s CBS affiliate in New Orleans, exposes how some court employees are going to school at fancy resorts.
In this case, 50 New Orleans judges, court officials and employees spent $100,000 of taxpayer money to attend a legal education seminar.
I’m not sure how this came down, but I like to imagine the WWL investigative reporter, mic in hand, walking up to some judge enjoying a cold one with his wife on the beach to comment on the practice.
“You could call it a family vacation,” admitted one of the judges.
“My wife went there because she wanted to accompany me and relax also.”
Here’s the promo and story from WWL-TV.
